The 5 Ways We Find Your Brand’s Signature Style For Your Next Brand Photo Shoot

Learn the 5-step design process we use every time

Not every brand photographer is an experienced content creator for all things online marketing, but we are, so today we are going to show you exactly how we plan our brand photoshoot sessions.

First things first:

Creating content for actual momentum toward more connections, more sales, and more referrals requires INTENTION.

Planning isn’t everyone’s exciting to do that they can’t wait to check off of their list, right? But, if you think of the goal of your digital marketing plan first and work your way backward, planning will be a key part of your business online.

3. Location Scouting and Sourcing: Location truly is everything when it comes to a perfectly branded, professional photoshoot. Our preferred light source is drumroll…natural light. If another type of lighting is needed, we happily use other light sources, but we always look for locations where natural light enhances the location. Our favorite resource for locations, from personal brands to food blog photography, to commercial brand photography is always Home Studio List. (Click the link to get inspired. Once you see what is possible, it will get you excited for your brand photoshoot! Their rentals are stunning! Drop your favorite in the comments below.)

4. Post-Production Editing: According to your aesthetic and branding, we edit your imagery to fit the vision for your brand.

5. Online Gallery Presentation: This day will feel like Christmas! Through our client management platform, we will send you emails throughout our time together, that lead up to the final delivery day email, complete with your gallery link!

5 Ways We Find Your Personal Brand's Signature Style

Our 5-Step Process That Makes Planning Fun

  1. Communication and Collaboration. Our 2 C’s are the basis for every brand photoshoot, from start to finish. Together, we uncover your target audience, your brand identities such as colors, style, and mood, as well as your vision for the end result…AKA your styled, edited, and delivered brand photography.

Your final style and aesthetic will represent your brand across the internet, so our planning consultations are one of our favorite parts of our projects.

  2. Mood board creation: Once the consultation is done, we create a mood board. Our favorite tools to help us create our mood boards are Pinterest, for inspiration, and Canva, for the design. It is here that we connect the dots between your vision and the color scheme, lighting, and composition that would work best for the brand.

Now you are armed and ready with an on-brand library of images that makes content creation, email marketing, social media marketing, and website design a breeze.

A Brand Photography Moodboard for Personal Brands

When hiring a brand photographer, ask yourself if you need someone that understands online business marketing and content creation. If the answer is yes, you are looking for the story of your brand to be told, where it is right now.

The key to online success is RELEVANCY, CONSISTENCY, AND CONNECTION.

Content creation is the key to those three things, but you don’t need to keep trying to figure everything out alone.

Use brand photography to hit all of those and watch your business stand out as THE brand that presents itself as a thought leader in your niche.

What some brand photographers don’t tell you, is that the most important part of a successful brand photoshoot is the planning.
